Dhaka, Bangladesh - An estimated 100,000 protesters took to the streets of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on Saturday in a powerful display of solidarity with Palestine and condemnation of Israel's ongoing actions in the Gaza Strip. The massive rally underscored the deep-seated public sentiment in the South Asian nation regarding the conflict.

Demonstrators, spanning a wide range of ages and backgrounds, marched through key thoroughfares of the city, chanting slogans denouncing the Israeli military operations and expressing unwavering support for the people of Gaza. Many carried Palestinian flags, banners bearing messages of solidarity, and placards calling for an immediate end to the violence and the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

The sheer scale of the protest, with organizers estimating a turnout of around 100,000 people, highlights the strong emotional resonance the Israeli-Palestinian conflict holds for many in Bangladesh. Speakers at the rally, representing various religious, political, and civil society organizations, delivered impassioned speeches condemning the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and calling for international intervention to protect Palestinian civilians.

"The images we are seeing from Gaza are heartbreaking," said Fatima Khan, a university student participating in the demonstration. "We cannot remain silent while innocent men, women, and children are suffering. The world must hold Israel accountable for its actions."

The protest in Dhaka follows a series of similar demonstrations held globally in recent months, reflecting growing international concern over the situation in Gaza. Participants in the Dhaka rally echoed calls for a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, emphasizing the need for Palestinian self-determination and an end to the occupation.

While Bangladesh does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, the Palestinian cause enjoys widespread public support. The government has consistently voiced its solidarity with the Palestinian people in international forums. The massive turnout on Saturday serves as a powerful reminder of the depth of this public sentiment and the unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause within Bangladesh.

The peaceful demonstration, though large in scale, proceeded without major incidents, with significant police presence ensuring public order. The sheer number of participants, however, sent a clear message of condemnation and solidarity, amplifying the global call for an end to the suffering in Gaza and a just resolution to the long-standing conflict.
